Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are solid-state devices that convert electric energy directly into light of a single colour. Because they employ "cold" light generation technology, in which most of the energy is delivered in the visible spectrum, LEDs don't waste energy in the form of non-light producing heat. In comparison, most of the energy in an incandescent lamp is in the infrared (or non-visible) portion of the spectrum. As a result, both fluorescent and HID lamps produce a great deal of heat.

LED TECHNOLOGY ADVANTAGES |
Digitron offers wide range of LED based lighting solutions which has various advantages:
LOW POWER CONSUMPTION - Unlike incandescent or CFL lights where much of the energy is wasted as infrared heat, LEDs are much more efficient in converting energy into rays of the visible spectrum. The result: power consumption reduced to approximately 33% of CFL and 15% of incandescent bulbs. THAT'S SAVINGS OF 67-85% ON ELECTRICITY.
LONG LIFE - Compared to a CFL's 15,000 hours or an incandescent bulb's meagre 1500 hours, it's safe to assume that once you install a LED product which gives 50,000 HOURS OF UNINTERRUPTED LIGHT, you rarely have to think about it.
SAVE MONEY - Reduce your electricity bills by at least 60% - LED's lower power consumption is as good for your finances as it is for the environment. The low-heat technology also saves on air-conditioning costs while its long life means lowered maintenance bills. While the initial cost of LED products might seem more expensive than its predecessors, in the long run, it gives far more COST EFFECTIVE SUSTAINABLE SAVINGS.
ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY - Besides consuming less power, LEDs are completely mercury-free and do not produce infrared or ultraviolet rays. Reducing the demand on fossil power, means lower CO2 emissions and its longer life will save the disposal of 50 incandescent bulbs or 5 CFLs. THAT'S GREEN CLEAN TECHNOLOGY.
